Theodore Barela
Principal
President
Theodore Barela has managed a variety of properties throughout the country, from a 1,300 room Hilton in Los Angeles to a Conference Center and Resort in New England. His unyielding mission of excellence is seen in the staffing of Peak Hospitality’s properties of hiring and retaining only astonishing people, and a mantra of the devil is in the details. Each Peak Hospitality property quickly sees improvements of on line ratings, RevPAR growth that outpaces Comp Sets within a few months.
In addition to the time spent instilling hospitality value at the property level, Theodore advocates for consistent community involvement which is demonstrated by his positions on Convention & Visitor Boards, as President of the Albuquerque Innkeepers Association, Mayoral appointee to the Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board, and non-hospitality related community outreach programs.
Theodore also participates heavily in development to help determine hotel positioning and construction costs during the feasibility study process.
